Mariner Dock & Seawall was founded in 2019 and is owned and run by Scott Ellis and Jesus Ayvar. Between them the team brings over thirty years of combined experience in marine construction, shoreline stabilization and custom waterfront design on the Southwest Florida coast.
We are a Specialty Marine Contractor — license SCC131152652 — and we also hold an electrical contractor license, EC13015118. That second license matters more than it sounds. Dock wiring, lift controls and underwater lighting live in the harshest environment electrical work can be put in, and when a dock company subcontracts that work the result is usually corrosion nobody can explain a few seasons later. We do it ourselves.
What we actually do
Custom dock construction, boat lift sales, installation and service, seawall construction, repair and replacement, shoreline stabilization, dock lighting and marine electrical, hurricane preparedness and post-storm repair. From permit to cleanup, we handle the job — including the survey, the engineering and the county and state paperwork.
Our service-area pages cover waterfront communities across Southwest Florida. Availability varies by project type, access and travel distance, so confirm the property address when you request an estimate.
How we work
A waterfront project starts with a site review: water depth, access, the existing structure and how the property is used. The written estimate defines the proposed scope and options. Mariner coordinates the construction process and provides a one-year labor warranty alongside applicable manufacturer warranties.

More than thirty years of experience across marine construction, shoreline stabilization and waterfront design on the Southwest Florida coast, with a focus on project planning, permitting coordination and quality control.
Jesus co-founded Mariner and holds the company's Specialty Marine Contractor license. He is the owner customers most often name in reviews — for answering the phone, for turning quotes around quickly, and for staying reachable from the first walk through to the final inspection.
