What we repair
Docks in salt water fail in predictable places. Decking goes first because it takes the sun. Pilings go below the waterline where marine borers work out of sight. Hardware goes wherever two dissimilar metals were put together by somebody who did not think about it.
- Decking replacement — boards, joists and framing, in composite or wood
- Piling repair and protection, including Pile SnapJackets
- Structural repair: stringers, bracing, connections and fasteners
- Railings, ladders, cleats, bumpers and hardware
- Electrical and lighting repair under our own license
- Storm damage assessment and repair
Repair or replace?
The honest test is what is left underneath. If the pilings and framing are sound, replacing decking and hardware buys you many more years at a fraction of the cost of a rebuild. If the pilings are going, new decking is money spent on a structure that is already leaving.
We will tell you which one you are looking at, and we will show you what we are basing it on.
Questions
How quickly can you look at storm damage?
Call or text (941) 751-3625 and describe the location and immediate hazard. Response time depends on storm conditions, access, crew availability and the number of unsafe structures reported.
Do you document damage for insurance?
Mariner can inspect the damaged structure and prepare a repair or replacement estimate. Ask what photographs, measurements or supporting documents are available for the specific assessment. Coverage questions belong with your agent.
